During three days (23rd– 26th of May, 2016) students of MSU SPE student chapter Ershova Daria and Stephania Dobrovol`skaya took part in the 10th Anniversary West Siberian Petroleum Congress 2016, which was organized by Industrial University of Tyumen. Daria reported about «Forming conditions of the Upper Cretaceous deposits on the southwestern of the Great Caucasus», Stephania told about «The role of the fractures in the origination of reservoir properties in the North Dolginskaya area of Timano-Pechora basin».
The congress was opened by the rector of TIU, after that representatives from the leading oil and gas Tyumen companies and the University lecturers discussed about actual questions in oil and gas industry during «Meeting without ties». Later participants visited the Geological and Mineralogical Museum of the Siberian Scientific Analytical Centre. In the evening participants met to each other’s, communicated with foreign guests and took part in Teambuilding.
On the second day students and young specialists performed their reports to jury in five different areas according the subject of researches. This areas are «Drilling and oil, gas and gas condensate fields development», «Geology, geophysics and hydrogeology», «Chemistry, petrochemistry and technologies of oil and gas conversion», «New equipment and hardware complexes», « Drilling and oil, gas and gas condensate fields development. PhD students and young specialists of partnership companies». Daria and Stephania spoke at section «Geology, geophysics and hydrogeology».
There was a traditional mind game «PetroQuiz» on the last day of the congress. Teams answered different questions bearing on oil and gas field. Stephania and her team «Ole Lukkoye» took the 3rd place.
At the end of day winners, prizewinners, participants, jury and organizers got certificates and memorable prizes.
The MSU SPE student chapter acknowledges SPE Moscow section for the opportunity to participate at the congress and TIU SPE Student Chapter for good organization of WSPC-2016.
